Accreditation & Recognition
Clear, honest disclosures regarding the academic standing, ecclesiastical purpose, and credit transferability of River Southwest School of Ministry programs.
Religious Institution Exemption
River Southwest School of Ministry operates under the religious institution exemption provided by Florida law. Our degrees are religious in nature and are designed to prepare students for ministry, church leadership, and religious vocations. RSW is not accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Transferability of Credits Disclosure
The transferability of credits earned at River Southwest School of Ministry is always at the sole discretion of the receiving institution.
If a student plans to transfer credits earned here to another college, seminary, or university, the student should consult in advance with the registrar of that institution. River Southwest makes no representation or guarantee regarding the automatic transfer of course credits to secular or regionally accredited institutions.
Counseling & Pastoral Care Studies Notice
Courses and pathways addressing Christian counseling and pastoral care are intended strictly for church and pastoral ministry settings. They do not prepare students for state professional counselor licensure or clinical psychiatric credentials.
